Nerge News 1.6.20

Welcome to 2020!  We hope your holidays were merry, bright, and filled with moments to treasure.  The close of 2019 was marked with many peak moments at Nerge.  Thank you to our Nerge PTA for bringing Tim Hannig and the Pro-Kids Show to our school.  His magic, humor, and lessons align to our Social Emotional Learning curriculum and 8 Keys of Excellence.  Our 5th and 6th grade band students impressed us at their concert at Mead Jr. High.  We sure have some talented musicians at Nerge!  Finally, we wrapped up a wonderful year with a sing-along assembly with your children.

January brings us new opportunities for learning and we are excited to be back at school with your children to see how much they grow.  Please see below for upcoming events and announcements.

5 Essentials Survey

Once again we are reaching out to our families and asking you to participate in the annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey to provide us with your perspective and help guide our school improvement efforts. The parent survey will be available online through Feb. 14, 2020, at https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois.  Currently 5% of our families have participated in the survey and need 20% in order to receive a parent report.
