District 54 is committed to ensuring not only the academic success of each child, but also their social-emotional wellbeing. Similar to this winter, we are asking for your insight as a parent/guardian in creating the most well rounded picture of your child’s strengths and opportunities for growth. To gather your perspective, District 54 will send families of students in grades 3-8 an email link for each child to the D54 Social Emotional Learning Survey on Monday, April 26. Thank you in advance for participating in this survey, as we believe the home-school collaboration is critical to best support your child’s overall well-being.

Spring MAP Testing
This spring starting on May 3, we will test kindergarten through eighth grade students using the MAP assessment tool. The computer-based assessment will be administered to students in person because we know that the most reliable administration and data point comes when students are tested in person. MAP results equip educators with key data to help personalize instruction and pinpoint individual student needs as we plan for the 2021-2022 school year.
All remote learning families will be receiving an invitation email later this week outlining specific dates and times for your child to test in person. We hope you will consider sending your child to school on those dates so we can collect this valuable information!
