Nerge Elementary School proudly serves approximately 680 students from kindergarten through sixth grade, representing the vibrant communities of Roselle, Schaumburg, and Elk Grove Village. As we mark 50 years of serving students and families, Nerge continues to uphold a tradition of academic excellence, inclusive culture, and strong community partnerships.
At Nerge, we believe in nurturing the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff creates a welcoming and engaging environment where every student can grow, thrive, and feel a strong sense of belonging. We prioritize purposeful collaboration, student-centered learning, and meaningful relationships as the foundation for success
Beyond the classroom, students can participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities and clubs that support creativity, leadership, and teamwork. These opportunities allow students to explore interests, build confidence, and make lasting connections.
Our school community is also strengthened by an active and supportive PTA. This dedicated group of volunteers helps bring learning to life through cultural arts experiences, book fairs, educational programming, family engagement events, and more. Their work helps make Nerge an exceptional place to learn and grow for students, families, and staff.
Nerge Elementary is named in honor of Frederick Nerge, one of the early settlers of Schaumburg Township. His legacy of dedication to community is reflected in our ongoing commitment to fostering strong home-school partnerships and celebrating the unique strengths of every student and family we serve.
