Field Day!
Field Day will be on Monday, May 20th. Grades K-3 will attend in the morning (8:50am-10:50am) and grades 4-6 (12:40pm-2:40pm) will attend in the afternoon. Students should wear their grade level Nerge shirts for this event! The sign-up sheet to be shared soon!

Teacher Appreciation Week
SAVE THE DATE! Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6 through May 10. We are planning some fun surprises for our teachers, but we need your help! The deadline to order and pay for May Hot Lunch is Saturday, April 20. If you haven’t ordered hot lunch for May, now is the time! SURPRISE YOUR CHILD AT SCHOOL!
Work from home? Have a flexible schedule? Volunteer and surprise your child during your lunch! It is a great way to give back, meet other parents/ guardians and surprise your child! Volunteers are needed to ensure we drop off hot lunches and fun treats on time for the students to enjoy. You can stay for a half hour or for the entire time! If you have not volunteered before, someone will help you with the process. Please sign up using the links below:

Nerge Color Run is Friday, May 3!
Registration for the Color Run is now open! You can register at nergepta.org. This event is free but you must sign up and sign the waiver online in order to participate. Color Run will be at Nerge on Friday May 3rd from 5:30-7pm. Wear a white T-shirt and get splashed with color as you run/ walk with your family and Nerge community! The PTA will provide glasses. Doctor Dogs Food Truck will be onsite after the run! We hope to see you there!
Summer Camp Scholarships!
The Schaumburg Township Council offers all D54 students K-7th the opportunity to apply for scholarships to be used for summer camps/ programs. There are two ways to apply for this scholarship via a google form or traditional form. It is preferred to submit all applications via the Google form although paper applications will be available at the school. All paper applications must be turned in to the school by April 5. All online applications must be completed by April 8th. You also need to be a PTA member and attach a copy of your membership card. You can reach out to Sara Bartels at [email protected] to receive a copy of your membership card. You are responsible for registering your student for the camp.
If you completed the online application, you must forward any additional documentation to [email protected]. You can either turn in the paper copy with the documentation to the school or you can scan the application and documents and email it to [email protected].

Dine and Donate: McDonalds McTeacher Night April 18
Come out for dinner to the Elk Grove Village McDonalds on Meacham Road to support our school and PTA! The promotion runs from 3:30-6:30 PM!
Donuts with Grownups April 26
The PTA is hosting Donuts with Grownups to celebrate everything you do for our students. Please join us on Friday, April 26th from 7:45am-8:30am in the Nerge Gym. RSVP by April 5th at https://bit.ly/49DN75T . Limit 2 adults per family. See flyer attached.
