The Dentist Is Coming!
We are pleased to have Smile Illinois-Mobile Dentists return to Nerge Elementary School. The dental team will be coming on February 12, 2025 and can provide dental exams, teeth cleaning, fluoride treatment, and sealants. You can register to participate in the dental clinic by clicking on the following link and completing the form at: www.myschooldentist.com
Parents of Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grade students: please note that by May 15, 2025 you must show proof that your child has seen the dentist within the past 18 months. This is a requirement for all children in the State of Illinois. If the Smile Illinois dentist examines your child, you have fulfilled this obligation.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF KINDERGARTEN, 6TH GRADE, and NEW STUDENTS
IMPORTANT: The deadline to submit your student’s school physical exam and immunization records to school is OCTOBER 15, 2024. If you have not submitted your child’s Illinois State required health documentation by the exclusion deadline, your child will not be allowed to come to school until it is received.
The Illinois School Code requires that children entering preschool, kindergarten (or first grade if kindergarten was not attended) and sixth grade must have had a physical exam within one year prior to starting that grade level. Students of any age transferring from a school outside Illinois must also have had a physical within the last year. The Illinois Department of Public Health also requires specific immunizations for students enrolling in public schools. Students are required to show proof of immunizations at the start of the school year. Proof of your child’s immunizations are due by OCTOBER 15, 2024
