Open House- February 16 

This year’s Open House, February 16, will take on a multicultural theme showcasing the many cultures, countries, languages, and traditions that make our Nerge family so special.  We are reaching out to our community to see if YOU would be interested in getting involved! Please consider completing the flyer attached or this Google Form by January 13 to volunteer. 

First 15 Day Reboot-Energy Bus

We will be utilizing The Energy Bus to provide our students consistent language and concepts that align to the PBIS, SEL and Happiness structures already in place.  Our students will focus on: Creating a Positive Vision, Fuel Your Ride with Positive Energy, No Bullies Allowed, Love Your Passengers and Enjoy the Ride.  We will come together as a school to uKNIGHT around these five areas during SEL lessons during the month of January.  

Donations of Holiday/Winter Wrapping Paper, Ribbon, & Bows 

Please consider donating them! Santa’s Helpers Club thought that we’d get a jump start on wrapping materials needed for next school year’s “Saturday with Santa” event at Nerge. We will store all material to help us decorate for next year’s winter wonderland! Donations can be sent to school to Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Kase.  Thank you so much!

Attendance

Thank you for calling our attendance line at 847-357-5777 to report student absences. Please also remember to share any dismissal alternative plans with us by contacting both the main office and your child’s classroom teacher so that we can ensure your child arrives to their final destination efficiently.

Jingle Pennies

The results are in… the Jingle Pennies winner is 6th Grade with a grand total of $205.75!!! They received some holiday pop-it’s at our all school assembly and earned the coveted Jingle Pennies Trophy to display proudly as a grade!  All donations were sent to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief. 

Smile Clinic 

Nerge’s Smile Mobile Dental Clinic is coming to Nerge on February 7, 2023.  To register your child for a dental exam, teeth cleaning, fluoride treatment, and/or sealants please follow the instructions on the flyer attached below.
