Did you know…The moon is drifting away from the earth. Every year, the moon moves 3.8 cm. further away from us. Because of this, the Earth is actually slowing down. Every century, the earth’s rotation will be 2 milliseconds slower. 100 years from today, a day will be 2 milliseconds longer. Wow!
We invite all Nerge families to come explore the stars at this year’s Nerge Night Hike. Partake in a star scavenger hunt and discover a little bit about our galaxy on Wednesday October 15th from 6:30-8pm. Look forward(or beyond!)to creating starry artwork with Miss Wroblewski and exploring celestial sounds with Miss Mason! See you out there!
