PTA Meeting- November 12

HOT LUNCH DEADLINE IS THIS WEDNESDAY!
Check out the delicious hot lunch menu options on the attached flyer! Culver’s, Dairy Queen and Popeyes are just a few of the great options! Orders must be placed and paid for by Wednesday, November 20.
To order, log into the Nerge PTA portal (Nergepta.org). Look for the Hot Lunch icon or order under My Account, where you can drop down and click on My Forms/Paperwork. This will give you the option to order and pay for Hot Lunch. If you are new to Nerge, you can create an account for free.

SATURDAY WITH SANTA VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ON 12/6 AN 12/7
Flyers to attend Saturday with Santa will go home soon but we need your help to make this event happen! Saturday with Santa is an annual event at Nerge. We transform the gym into a winter wonderland and families enjoy breakfast and have an opportunity to take a picture with Santa. We have several shifts available so you will not miss out on the fun with your family. We have Friday evening (12/6) and Saturday (12/7) shifts available. Birthday Books
Birthday Books needs volunteers for our next celebration on November 19! Volunteers bring students celebrating their birthday down to the book carts, assist students in selecting books and help kids get back to their classrooms as needed. Please consider joining us. Click here to volunteer

Chicago Wolves Game November 17
Save the date! The Nerge Singing Club will be singing at the Chicago Wolves game! Come support our Nerge students. Tickets will be $18.50 each! More information on how to purchase tickets will be coming in the next newsletter! Tickets can be purchased on nergepta.org. We hope to see you there to support our Nerge Knights and enjoy a game of hockey with friends and family!
Picture Retake Day
For those who are interested, picture retakes will take place on November 14.
Raise Right Gift Cards
Attention Nerge Families,
It’s that time of year to let the PTA help you with your holiday gift giving. The Nerge PTA is partnering with Raise Right (formerly known as Scrip Gift Cards) to allow people to purchase gift cards at face value and earn a rebate for our organization FREE OF CHARGE. All rebates earned will go directly to the budget for PTA activities benefiting our Nerge Knights.
Please see the instructions and order form attached. Review the vendors listed to see which gift cards you’d like to purchase and keep in mind that some of the gift cards cover more than one restaurant or store. Whether you purchase these for gift giving or for your own personal use it’s an easy way to earn funds for our children. Last year we raised approximately $700! Please note the deadline of Thursday, November 14th.
Dine and Share
Join us for our November Dine out Night on Wednesday, November 13th from 7:00am-7:00pm at Corner Bakery in Schaumburg. Don’t forget to mention Nerge at the register and Corner Bakery will donate 25% of all sales back to Nerge.
Translation Support
If you are a Spanish speaking family and need assistance, Claudia Venancio is our liaison and can help you with any questions you may have regarding our Nerge PTA website, events or orders. She can be reached at [email protected]. We now also have liaisons for our families whose primary language is Bulgarian and Polish. If you need assistance, please reach out to Pam Mazzoni and Lori LaCursia and they will be able to direct you to our family liaisons. We are still looking for translators in the following languages: Hindi, Ukrainian, Romanian, Russian. If you are interested, please contact the Nerge PTA at [email protected]
In School Holiday Shop – December 6th
On Friday December 6th, students will have the opportunity to visit the Holiday Treasures Shop in the Nerge School Gym. Students are able to purchase gift items for everyone on their list.
